What Are the Rules of Engagement?

NNCC partners with eligible organizations to provide high-quality NCPD activities that meet the standards of the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Organizations seeking to provide NCPD activities jointly must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations that affect NNCC’s ability to meet ANCC NCPD Accreditation Program criteria
  • Comply with ethical standards as identified in the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses and ethical standards for business operations
  • Comply with the eligible company guidelines. Organizations cannot be engaged in the following activities as their primary business: producing, marketing, selling, re-selling, or distributing healthcare products used by or on patients

In addition to determining eligibility, it is important to note:

The Joint Provider must clearly identify NNCC as the accredited provider on all materials.

NNCC retains final authority over ANCC compliance and the awarding of contact hours.

Materials associated with the educational activity, such as marketing materials, advertising, agendas, and certificates of completion, must clearly indicate the Accredited Provider that is awarding contact hours and is responsible for adherence to the ANCC criteria.
